Man attacked and wounded in the hand in a Brooklyn subway station

At around 5pm on Monday, a man was attacked near the turnstiles at Bedford station in Brooklyn. An aggressive individual demanded money and blocked his passage. An altercation broke out, and the assailant pulled out a knife. The victim managed to make him drop the weapon, but cut his hand, requiring 17 stitches. A second man intervened, but instead of helping the victim, he tried to knock him down. The police were called, but the station's cameras were not working.
