A priest saves a man attacked by a mob

In Brazil, a man is violently attacked by a crowd. He is on the ground, surrounded by several people who are beating him relentlessly. Just as the situation seems to be getting out of hand, a priest intervenes. He arrives a little late, but manages to stop the attack and protect the man from the blows. We don't know why the mob attacked him, but without the priest's intervention, the outcome could have been much worse.
