Man shoots police officer during 'street takeover' in Compton

A man opened fire on a California Highway Patrol officer during a "street takeover" in Compton, California, Monday morning. He ran towards the police car and fired several shots. The vehicle immediately fled the scene. It is not yet known whether the shooter has been identified. A few days earlier, a San Bernardino police car had crashed during a pursuit linked to another event of the same type.
