Ambulance plane crashes near Philadelphia mall

An ambulance plane crashed on Friday evening near a residential neighborhood and a large shopping mall in Philadelphia. On board were a child who had just received treatment, his mother and four crew members. The plane took off from Northeast Philadelphia Airport at around 6 p.m. and crashed a few minutes later on a road. The impact caused a powerful explosion, setting fire to several cars and houses. Numerous witnesses filmed the scene with dashcams, security cameras and smartphones. The cause of the crash remains unknown.
