At an oceanarium in China, a giant sturgeon tried to swallow the head of a Russian presenter dressed as a mermaid. The fish managed to capture her head almost entirely in its jaws before she was freed. She survived with minor but permanent injuries. Her Chinese employer tried to conceal the incident and offered her 700 yuan ($98) in compensation for moral damages.
