A woman is carried off the hood of her car by a thief

A woman in Kansas City was the victim of a lightning carjacking while walking her dog in front of her apartment building. A man took control of her car, a Chevrolet Malibu, parked just a few yards from her. Desperately trying to block the thief, she grabbed onto the hood, but he accelerated, dragging her down the road. Her dog, left behind, seemed confused. The woman was hospitalized with minor injuries. The vehicle and the suspect remain unaccounted for. The investigation is ongoing.
