Chicago Fire actor Brian J. White helped neighbors subdue an arsonist armed with a blowtorch near a fire in Woodland Hills. Alerted by screams, White discovered a man attempting to light a fire in a trash can. The suspect, Juan Manuel Sierra-Leyva, was being followed by a neighbor after an earlier attempt on a Christmas tree. White and two other neighbors restrained the man, who appeared confused and aggressive, while waiting for the police. Lacking sufficient evidence for the fire, he was arrested for probation violation.
