Cries of horror ring out in a train station as a 16-year-old boy walks around with a 60,000-volt Taser

At Wigan bus station, a 16-year-old boy caused panic by running with a 60,000-volt Taser on January 11. Police, alerted by screams, tracked him down on New Market Street. Identified as a model 928, the device can incapacitate a person or animal in a matter of seconds. The young man was arrested on suspicion of a firearms offence. No one was injured, but he remains under investigation.
