Police officer falls from convertible in comedy arrest attempt

A video shows Texas police officer Andrew Fitzer, 38, being thrown to the ground from a red convertible driven by Jamaysha Butler, 28, who was attempting to flee. As he lay unconscious, witnesses mocked the scene, some filming for social networks. Fitzer suffered a brain haemorrhage but is now out of danger. Butler, later arrested while intoxicated, faces heavy charges, as does Melissa Bell, 22, who intervened violently against another officer. Both women remain held on high bail.
