A high-ranking Russian general, Igor Kirillov, was killed this morning, along with his assistant Ilya Polikarpov, in an explosion in Moscow. An explosive charge, concealed on an electric scooter and activated remotely, struck at the exit of a building. Russian authorities discovered a camera pointing at the entrance, installed in a rental car. Ukraine, via its security services (SBU), claimed responsibility for the assassination, in retaliation for the alleged use of chemical weapons against its troops. Moscow promises reprisals.
