Police officer fatally shoots suspect in Arby's after being stabbed in the neck

A police body camera video has been released showing an officer-involved shooting at a Shelby fast food restaurant, which left one person dead and one officer wounded. The intervention took place at 11:18 p.m. last Saturday, at Arby's located at 230 Mansfield Avenue. It shows Sergeant Noah Kocher and Officer Dominic Ewing arresting Tyler Jacobs. According to police, when Kocher made contact with Jacobs, the latter stabbed him in the neck with a knife. Despite his injury, Kocher managed to distance himself from Jacobs before shooting him. Officer Ewing, who was in the rear of the restaurant, immediately rendered aid to Kocher and Jacobs. Both men were taken to a local hospital. Kocher is reported to be in stable condition, while Jacobs, who succumbed to his wounds, has been pronounced dead.
