A delivery driver is thrown off a bridge by a policeman during a traffic stop in Brazil

A delivery driver in Brazil was thrown off a bridge by Luan Pereira, a police officer, during a traffic stop. Since then, this shocking incident has caused quite a stir in the country. The 25-year-old man was driving a motorcycle without a license plate around São Paulo. Witnesses at the scene reported that the delivery driver questioned the police officer about the delay to his delivery caused by the traffic stop. After this altercation, Luan Pereira threw him off the bridge. The deliveryman landed in a stream but was able to extricate himself. He was subsequently hospitalized. The incident led to the suspension of Luan Pereira and 12 other agents. Both the Governor and the Attorney General of São Paulo denounced the act, calling it "shocking" and "unacceptable". Luan Pereira was already suspected of murder for a case from 2023, in which he fired 12 shots at a man who allegedly pointed a gun at him after a car chase.
