Neurosurgeon miraculously survives second plane crash

A famous Brazilian neurosurgeon, Jacinto Lay, has survived his second plane crash in the space of 18 months. During an emergency landing on a freeway in Teresina after engine failure, the plane crashed into a van, a motorcycle and a bus station. Lay was pulled from the wreckage by passers-by, seriously injured but stable, and taken to hospital with head and leg injuries. Kelliane dos Santos, who was on the motorcycle, was also hospitalized with head injuries. Some people in the van were briefly treated for minor injuries.
