The recent revelation of a video filmed by a police body-worn camera has created controversy after this Davenport, Iowa police officer shot a family's dog in the backyard of their home. The video shows the black mixed-breed dog barking and running towards officer Ethan Bock, who fires a few seconds later. The scene provoked cries of terror from the family's two young children present. The officer later admitted to police radio that he had shot a dog. This follows another event involving the same officer who, a few weeks earlier, had rammed and killed another man's dog with his patrol car. Following an internal investigation, the Davenport Police Department concluded that the officer's actions were legal.
