A 64-year-old man named Wayne Noel, who kidnapped and sexually abused a nine-year-old girl in a New York supermarket, perished in a car accident while being pursued by police. The incident took place after an 18-hour manhunt initiated when the little girl was captured by Noel in a Key Foods store in Queens Village. The suspect, described as an "embodiment of evil" by Assistant Commissioner for Operations Kaz Daughtry, was identified through CCTV footage of the supermarket. Following the accident, Noel was taken to New York Presbyterian-Queens Hospital, where he died. He had a long criminal record, including an arrest for a similar robbery in 2022.
