The wave of violence in Southport is becoming increasingly intense, especially after a knife attack claimed the lives of three children at a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga workshop. Clashes broke out near the local mosque and police cars were set alight. Numerous detractors, whom Merseyside police suspect of being affiliated to the English Defence League, threw bottles and bricks at police vans. The identity of the alleged perpetrator of the tragedy, which is being spread on the internet, has only exacerbated tensions already palpable since Monday's attack.
