Shock: a crane collapses on a car, killing a worker in Fort Lauderdale

On April 4, a frightening accident occurred when a crane collapsed on a bridge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A motorist narrowly escaped death when parts of the crane fell onto his car. Unfortunately, the incident claimed the life of construction worker Jorge De La Torre. Gemmalyn Castillo, who was in a cab hit by the crane, was seriously injured. In the images, we can see debris from the crane crush the car, forcing it to come to a screeching halt. The cab driver managed to get out unhurt, but Castillo had to be extracted by the police. The footage also showed first responders stopping Castillo's bleeding as she suffered a crying fit. Three other people were also injured in the accident.
