Thieves loot Sainsbury's ice cream freezer

A Sainsbury's petrol station in Alperton, near Wembley, was the target of a daring robbery. Two thieves dressed all in black grabbed large quantities of ice cream and ice lollies from a freezer and stuffed them into a blue bag, in front of stunned customers. One of the thieves wore a cap and a pulled-down Covid-19-style mask, while his hooded accomplice held the bag open. A customer filmed the scene with his phone and shared the video on social networks. Once the bag was full, the criminals fled on foot. According to some commentators, this incident bears witness to the steady rise in shoplifting in the UK.
