A heroic event took place in Worcestershire last April when three police officers rescued a woman trapped in her car, which was filling with water after being washed away during a flood. Annie Nisbet, terrified and waiting for help with water up to her neck, was pulled out when police formed a human chain to reach her vehicle and break the driver's window to get her out. This act of bravery earned her the Police Federation National Bravery Award, demonstrating the commitment, determination and bravery of law enforcement in the face of dangerous emergencies.
