Man arrested after breathless chase

Ah'lijah Aman Mah'di Balk, aged 20, was arrested on multiple charges, including assaulting a Port Orange police officer during a car chase, according to police. The assault took place when Balk was parked in a stolen car in an apartment complex. Resisting arrest, he ran down an officer with his vehicle. The on-board camera shows a police officer running after Balk in an empty parking lot and then knocking him down to effect his arrest. Once arrested, Balk was booked into the Volusia County Jail on multiple charges.
