Austin arrest video: naked man dies in custody after car crash

On June 17, a naked man named Jermaine Joseph Sims, 35, was arrested following a vehicle theft and died shortly afterwards in police custody, according to the Austin Police Department (APD). Video from the camera worn by officers shows Sims getting out of a vehicle he stole and with which he crashed into several other cars. Officers quickly immobilized and handcuffed him. Sims was then taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The circumstances of his death remain unclear and will be determined by a medical examiner. The incident is currently under investigation, with no charges pending. The officers involved are Brandon Langer and David Lewis.
