A family in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, was terrified when their Rottweiler dog was abducted by a lioness from their garden. The event occurred in the middle of the night: the lioness jumped over the door, caught the dog, named Jaci, between her jaws and left quietly. The owner, Sylvia Wamai, confided that the attack lasted less than ten minutes, leaving the family in shock and mourning the loss of their four-legged companion. The family home is close to a national park, a situation that could explain the presence of the lioness. Local authorities are investigating the incident.
