Victim of a gang of three pickpockets, a 93-year-old man was robbed of his wallet in the parking lot of a Costco in Portland. Having no idea that the criminals were behind him, one of them managed to steal his wallet from his back pocket as he pushed his cart towards his car. After the theft, the gang used the victim's credit cards to buy $1,500 worth of gift cards. Surveillance footage showed the same suspects targeting several other people in the same parking lot. Portland police discovered that they had committed similar crimes in the Seattle area.
