A single mother was violently attacked in her home in Nauiyu, an isolated community in the Northern Territory, 250 km south of Darwin. The incident, filmed two weeks ago, shows a group of young women and teenage girls forcing their way into the victim's home. After breaking down a flimsy door, the attackers inflicted multiple blows to the head of the woman, who was trying to defend herself, while her young child looked on. The attackers continued to hit her as she lay helpless on the ground. This violence, which is common in remote communities, has received little national attention.
