A mother saves her daughter from an obsessed attacker

In a terrifying yet courageous scene in Queens, New York, 18-year-old Lex escaped a kidnapping attempt in broad daylight. On her way home from a walk with her dogs, a masked assailant appeared and tried to kidnap her. The quick reaction of her mother, Adriana Alvarez, was crucial in putting the assailant to flight. Later identified as 25-year-old George Vassiliou, the Lex-obsessed assailant was arrested by the authorities.
