A man is murdered by a knife-wielding madman during the filming of a music video

During a music video shoot in Brixton, London, in 2021, gang member Brandon McNeil, 18, attacked Shane Jerome, 23, who was riding his motorcycle in the convoy. While Shane was taking part in the making of a video for drill rap artist Chariffe Greaves, aka Reefy, McNeil suddenly sprang up and stabbed him in the heart before fleeing. Shane's girlfriend Seleka Gathercole, who witnessed the scene, was horrified. McNeil was arrested thanks to a fingerprint left on a Lamborghini and surveillance videos. He admitted murder, possession of offensive weapons and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm. In 2022, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, reduced on appeal in 2023 to 20 years and 247 days.
