In Pittsburgh, 79-year-old Natalie Weber was arrested after colliding with Kelda Gorman, a disabled wheelchair user. The incident, which occurred on November 13 at around 7:30 a.m. and was captured on a security camera, shows Gorman struck and thrown into the middle of an intersection. Gorman, already suffering from chronic pain and spinal pathology, described the terrifying impact as she crossed Centre Avenue at the intersection with North Craig Street. After the accident, Weber stopped briefly before fleeing the scene. She admitted to being the driver, but didn't realize she'd hit a disabled person, as her windows were frosted over. Gorman, also suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, will undergo further spinal imaging to assess the impact on her condition. A preliminary hearing for Weber is scheduled for January 10.
