An undercover investigation has revealed atrocious conditions in Europe's fur industry. Injured animals, including minks, foxes and raccoon dogs, were observed in alarming conditions: filthy cages, serious infections, and even acts of cannibalism. The shocking images, collected from over 100 farms, show animals struggling to survive, with bloody wounds, missing limbs and fly-infested wounds. Humane Society International stresses the urgent need to ban these practices and calls for a decisive response from the European Commission, particularly in view of the zoonotic disease risks associated with these farms.
