A ferry sinks during an excursion to the Blue Lagoon in the Bahamas

In a tragedy in the Bahamas, a double-decker ferry carrying passengers to the private island of Blue Lagoon sank, killing a 75-year-old American tourist. The ferry, which departed from Paradise Island in Nassau, was tilting dangerously, with water reaching the first windows. Videos showed panicked passengers jumping into the water and swimming towards other boats. According to one witness, the crew were overwhelmed, failing to guide the passengers, while accusations have been levelled at the captain for his reckless conduct.
