Police officer hit while responding to accident

An Ohio Highway Patrol officer was hospitalized after being struck by a car on icy I-71. This Wednesday morning, Officer Tanner R. Guinther was investigating an accident involving a Jeep, when he was struck by a Toyota Tacoma, which had lost control on the icy road. Although the officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries, he was treated and released. Neither the driver of the Tacoma nor the Jeep was injured.
