On Monday evening, a surprising event took place at the St. Regis Aspen Resort, a five-star hotel in Colorado. A black bear, attracted by a source of noise, entered the establishment and attacked a security guard who had heard suspicious noises coming from the kitchen. The scene was captured on CCTV: the bear, rearing up on its hind legs, pushed the employee to the ground before quickly leaving the scene. Fortunately, the guard escaped with only scratches, which were treated at hospital. Later, thanks to a distinctive white spot on its fur, the bear was identified, tranquilized and euthanized. Colorado Parks and Wildlife authorities confirmed the bear's identity and noted the absence of food-related attractants in the kitchen.
