An alarming incident has taken place in Nottingham city center: a 25-year-old man, Josh Redfern, stole an empty bus parked on Peveril Drive before causing an accident and continuing on his way for almost 16 kilometers. The surveillance camera on board the bus recorded the moment Redfern ran a red light on Castle Boulevard and crashed into a parked car. Nottinghamshire Police appealed for witnesses, and thanks to a CCTV image posted on Facebook, Redfern was identified and subsequently arrested. The man was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment at Nottingham Crown Court, including for stealing the bus while serving a suspended prison sentence for drug-related offences.
