France raises terror alert level and evacuates the Louvre

Moment of alarm at the Louvre: Following a bomb threat, visitors to the Louvre in Paris evacuated the museum in panic. This followed a tragic stabbing attack at a school in northern France. Following these incidents, France stepped up its security, deploying 7,000 soldiers in the streets. The attack on the school, carried out by a former student suspected of Islamic radicalization, resulted in the death of one teacher, Dominique Bernard, and injured three others.
