A suicide bomber blows himself up outside the Turkish parliament, his accomplice is shot dead by police

Terrifying attack in Ankara: a man blows himself up near the Turkish parliament. CCTV images reveal two armed men rushing towards the Ministry of the Interior building in Ankara at 9:30 on Sunday morning. One of them detonates a bomb at the secure entrance, while the other, after breaking through the smoke, is shot dead in an exchange of fire with police. Two policemen were wounded but survived. The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) claims responsibility for the attack. Security measures are tightened and investigations are underway for other suspicious packages in Ankara.
