On a Nebraska highway, astonished police officers pulled over a driver with an unusual passenger: a huge Ankole-Watusi bull named Howdy Doody. Alerted by other drivers on August 30, officers discovered that Lee Meyer of Neligh had modified a former police car to accommodate his impressive companion. The car displayed the message: "Nebraska's Big Rodeo Parade - Best Entry", and miniature Howdy Doody horns adorned the hood. Unfortunately, Howdy Doody seemed stressed during the ride, leaving inelegant marks on the rear windows. Despite a few infractions, Meyer was given warnings and asked to take Howdy Doody home
