A policeman loses his job after accidentally killing a drug dealer on the run

Eric Duprey lost his life in New York while attempting to evade arrest following a drug operation. Duprey sold drugs to an undercover police officer, Sergeant Erik Duran, who then attempted to arrest him. While fleeing on his scooter, a cooler filled with soda cans was thrown by Duran - an object taken from a passer-by present with his family.
