A swimmer was rescued from dangerous waves after being thrown against a sea wall during a solitary night swim at St Ouen's Bay in Jersey. Without a wetsuit and flotation devices, he was in an emergency condition and unable to return to the beach. Two members of the Jersey Fire and Rescue Service helped him, all of them battered by the waves. Jersey Fire and Rescue and Jersey Coastguard mobilized their teams for this delicate operation. Despite the unfavorable conditions, the rescuers managed to get him back to the beach. Ford Ramsden, Jersey Coastguard officer, advises never to swim late at night to avoid such risks
