Widespread brawl in Westhoughton after soccer match

A violent altercation broke out in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester, following a soccer match in which Bolton Wanderers beat Wigan Athletic 4-0. The brawl, which involved up to 50 people, was so intense that one man had to be hospitalized. Two men were arrested and later released on bail. Following these events, a dispersal order was put in place, prohibiting these individuals from returning to Westhoughton for 48 hours.
