Enraged farmer breaks up father's house and assaults policeman during family dispute

Paul Squires, 57, violently attacked his elderly father's home, breaking 22 panes of glass and vandalizing several vehicles. After the death of his mother, he was convinced that his father and brother were trying to exclude him from the family business. Squires also assaulted his brother and a police officer. Swansea Crown Court estimated the total value of the damages at €40,000. He was jailed for 22 months. His lawyer stressed that the defendant was ashamed of his actions.
