Denver hostage situation: police shoot knife-wielding man (Warning - shocking)

On May 1, Denver police shot and killed 55-year-old Frankie Lee Evans after an hour-long hostage situation. The man, armed with a knife, was holding two people in a room. Police officers intervened when the situation escalated, hearing a woman yell "Stop!". Despite attempts to communicate with a mental health clinician, Evans refused to speak and only communicated with the officers. During the response, the officers shot Evans, ending the situation. Two officers were placed on "modified duty" following the incident.
