A 62-year-old shopkeeper, Billy Maher, bravely prevented a robbery at his Nisa Local store in Cambridgeshire. The masked individual was attempting to steal a case of Foster's beer when a colleague of Maher's tackled him to the ground. Maher rushed in and punched the thief in the face. Although the thugs managed to escape by smashing the store's window with a hammer, they left empty-handed. Police are investigating this case, which is part of a series of burglaries that occurred in the Peterborough area over the Easter weekend.
