In December 2020, Steve Allan, 35, violently assaulted millionaire banker Paul Mason, 52, outside a London club for no reason. The victim, CEO of Qatari National Bank, died six months later from his injuries. Allan was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to only three years in prison, a sentence considered too lenient by Mason's family who intend to appeal. The victim's sister denounces the lack of remorse of the aggressor and the lack of sensitivity of the society towards violence.
