A neighbor tries to set them on fire after spraying them with gasoline

On April 24, 2023, in Changhua City, a man named Xie Nan was about to take his son to school by motorcycle when a 70-year-old neighbor approached them from behind. The man suddenly doused the father and son with gasoline, before Xie Nan got off the motorcycle and managed to subdue the neighbor. The victim filed a complaint for attempted murder, endangering life and bodily harm. After questioning, the suspect was sent to court. Authorities also contacted health services to investigate the suspect's mental health status. This was reportedly the result of a long-standing dispute between the two neighbors.
