Burglar disguised as a package delivery man holds up a homeowner

Security cameras can sometimes make a difference. A man, disguised as a delivery man, attempted to burglarize a homeowner in East Haven, Connecticut, last Friday. However, he was stopped thanks to the home's Ring connected doorbell. Xavier Otero, 37, was caught on camera as he approached the home, wearing an orange security vest and holding a package in one hand. But when the homeowner opened the door, Otero pulled a gun from his pocket. The homeowner returned fire, forcing Otero to flee. Thanks to footage posted on social media, police were able to arrest Otero and his accomplice, 26-year-old Jean Carrasquillo-Torres, who was planning another robbery.
