Massive looting of a closed Walmart in Tampa, Florida

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video showing hundreds of people looting the East Fletcher Avenue Walmart store on May 30. The store had been closed due to protests outside the University Mall. Armed with blunt objects, such as hammers, people broke the front glass doors and invaded the store. Police estimated that nearly 200 people were involved in the looting, with the electronics section being the most affected. A total of $116,000 in merchandise and damage was reported.
