Dshawn Crawford has been charged with attempted murder of a homeless man in Philadelphia. The man stabbed Marcos Torres Rivera, who was sleeping unsuspectingly, for no apparent reason. Crawford was arrested for another criminal offense and police were able to connect the attack on the homeless man. Although Torres Rivera survived the attack, he remains in critical condition in the hospital. This shocking crime is a reminder of the importance of protecting the most vulnerable in our society.
