Man takes son hostage and is shot by police (Warning - shocking)

On January 3, 2023, a woman alerted the police in San Jacinto, California, about the aggressive actions of her boyfriend, Fernando Garcia. He had taken her 12-year-old son hostage and barricaded himself in their home with a machete. The attempts of the police to save the child were unsuccessful, as Garcia attacked them several times. Eventually, the attacker was shot and the child was rescued unharmed. The police officers were injured, but their injuries were not serious.
