Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Das was shot and killed by an assistant sub-inspector of police in Jharsuguda district. The accused has been arrested and the motive is unknown, but he was undergoing treatment for mental health and stress. The minister was on his way to a meeting and was shot while getting out of his vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Bhubaneswar where he died from his injuries.
