SWAT team shoots disabled, unarmed man with hands up (Warning - shocking)

On December 13th, 2022, Jason Harley Kloepfer, 41, was shot multiple times by members of the Cherokee Indian Police SWAT Team. The incident happened in Murphy, North Carolina after a 911 call reported a disturbance with gunshots at a residence on Upper Bear Paw Road. According to the authorities, Kloepfer engaged in a verbal altercation with officers, emerged from a camper trailer, and confronted officers. Surveillance footage from inside the camper shows Kloepfer and his wife awake to find a robotic camera placed by authorities, pick it up, and go to open the door. Moments later, officers fired several rounds at Kloepfer, who fell to the ground. Kloepfer has been charged with communicating threats and resisting, obstruction and delay. He claims that he is a disabled man who was unarmed and complying with the commands of law enforcement officers when he was shot.
